Eat Vegan and Vegetarian in Cabarete
5 Delicious Restaurants Serving Plant Based Fare
Many restaurants now offer at least one vegetarian option. However, some go the extra mile with a vast selection of delicious dishes. Here are 5 Cabarete restaurants that offer more vegan and vegetarian choices for dinner!
Just a one minute walk from our condos, Yalla is relatively new to Cabarete, but has made quite an impact and is currently rated #1 on TripAdvisor. The tapas style restaurant has a long list of vegan and vegetarian options, making it easy to bring friends and family of all dietary preferences together at one table. Some of the delicious dishes include eggplant assortment or roll-up, green bean bundle, blooming onion, hummus roja, battered cauliflower, and much more. Yalla is open every day except Wednesdays from 6pm-11pm and is tucked in between Villa Taina and Dick’s Bakery at the start of the town.
Restaurant Serenade at Hotel Villa Taina
Sometimes we feel so lucky that we have neighbors as awesome as Restaurant Serenade. Located literally steps from our condos, the restaurant at Hotel Villa Taina shares the same spectacular view as our vacation rentals. The menu is huge, and a relatively large percentage is vegetarian and gluten free. From appetizers to entrees, salads, pizzas, and snacks, the vegetarian options are plenty. As a bonus, there is a two for one happy hour evenings from 4-7 pm. One of our favorite things about Serenade is the staff. Everyone always seems to happy to be working. If you are lucky, you might even get a free bachata lesson with Danilo (our favorite waiter). Open every day from 07:30 am – 10 pm.
Restaurant Natura at Natura Cabana
Combining fresh tropical local ingredients with Indian, Mediterranean and Asian flavors, Restaurant Natura at Natura Cabana Hotel is popular with taste buds of all types. The seaside location is simply stunning, and the food is just as impressive. Natura’s gourmet menu showcases a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes such as Mushroom Tar Tar, Rainbow Salad, Chai Sorrentino Pasta, and so much more. They make it easy to navigate the menu with annotations for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes, and they have an entire section dedicated to just vegetarian options. Their meat dishes are just as mouth-watering, so if you are eating out with a picky group, there are plenty of plates to please all. Open every evening from 7 pm until 11 pm. Restaurant Natura is located in Perla Marina, past Encuentro beach. We suggest taking a taxi or car, and we can arrange that for you.
Gorditos Fresh Mex
The most popular place to grab a bite to eat and meet up with your pals is Gordito’s. They truly are one of a kind with fast and friendly service that doesn’t compromise on food quality. True to its namesake, the food is fresh and delicious, all while being a great value for your money! Owners Deidra and Joe love what they do, and you will almost always see one of them behind the counter slinging tacos, burritos, and bowls with the rest of the team. Their veg menu is short and sweet, with options of bean or veggie, but sometimes you don’t need anything more than the basics if they are as delicious as this. Located at the traffic lights in Cabarete, Gorditos is open Monday – Saturday: 11 am – 8:30 pm, Sunday: 11:30 am – 5 pm.
