There’s no doubt your days are going to be jam-packed with activities during your visit to Cabarete. But what about the evenings?
No matter what you’re into, this eclectic beach town has plenty to offer. Great music, dancing (more than likely bachata or salsa), and even better rum! We get a lot of like-minded travelers to Cabarete, so everyone is eager to network and make new friends over a few drinks.
The Best Beachfront Bars in Cabarete
Whether it be the perfect location for two drinks (happy hour) or five, get yourself down to the beachfront where it is all happening. Cabarete Palm Beach Condos is just twenty steps from the beach, so you’re never far from the action. At night the restaurants transform themselves with happy hour specials and live music. People party every day of the week because, well, every day is the weekend in paradise. Right?
Restaurant Serenade at Villa Taina Hotel is the perfect place to start your night. They are right next door to our condos and have two-for-one happy hour specials from 5-7 pm every day. It’s a lovely spot to catch the sunset while you sip on a cold one.
Next, pop on over to Kahuna where they run a two-for-one happy hour special from 4-8 pm. So you’ll get an extra hour of happiness in. Especially if you’re into draft beer, Kahuna is the only bar on the beach serving cold beer on tap.
Lax/Ojo got a nice restaurant, but this is the place best known for its dance floor. There are two floors offering two different sounds. Thursday night is salsa night/ladies night and Saturday is just a good night to go out in the town.
The Timing
The bars usually get busy around 11 pm and pump until 3 am. When the music shuts down, pop across the street for some street food. Take a pause and rest those dancing feet before the dander home. ‘Jesu Cabarete Hot Dog’ cart across from Ojo’s is ideal for your late-night, drunken snack. This saintly hot dog man can hopefully soften the blow from your upcoming hangover.
The Hangover
The hangovers are virtually non-existent when you have fresh, clear blue waters just a stone’s throw away from your condo. Take an energizing dip as soon as you wake up and get ready for a surf session. We’ve all been there once or twice to know there is no better cure!
