Video: Surf Vibes in Cabarete, Dominican Republic

Short video showing off what Cabarete has to offer

When we run across a good Cabarete Video, we feel compelled to share it. It doesn’t matter to us if the people who created the video stayed in our vacation rentals or not. The fact of the matter is Cabarete is our playground, so if you like what you see in the video, chances are you will like our property if we fit into what you are looking for in accommodation. That being said, Suus and Sebastian, a newly wed couple from the travel blog 1st Day of Summer, did not stay in our condos, but they pretty much nailed it when it comes to capturing the spirit of Cabarete in a little more than 4 minutes. From traveling the country side to enjoying the Cabarete beaches, this couple enjoyed a lot of what our little piece of the Dominican Republic has to offer.

You’ll have to watch for yourself, but below is a little breakdown of the activities included just in case you want to try any of them out. We have written about a lot of them already so click on the links we provide for more information, maps, prices, advice, videos, etc:

First things featured is windsports…obviously. Cabarete is a magnet for anything with a sail because we historically have wind 300 days per year. From kiteboarding to windsurfing and even a little laser sailing, if it is powered by wind, it’s bound to show up in our bay.

Second only to windsports in Cabarete is surfing. Located just about 5 minutes from our condos is Playa Encuentro and that’s where the most consistent waves in the country live. Almost every day before the wind starts howling the warm waves will be packed with men, women, and a pack of groms.

Monkey Jungle
It seems that once they got their giant dose of vitamin sea, the couple decided to wander a bit. One of the best places to wander to is Monkey Jungle! It’s up in the mountains a bit but totally worth the trek because if you haven’t had a monkey on your head once in your life…you are totally missing out.

Horseback Riding
They finished up their wandering by going horseback riding through the mountains and rivers somewhere around Cabarete. We aren’t sure which tour they chose, but our favorite is Rancho Luisa and Tommy located in Sabeneta.

*Keep in mind if you book accommodation with us, our guest services will be more than happy to set up any activities featured here for you.
