Carib Wind is the biggest and probably most well-known surf store in Cabarete. Only 28 years young, Carib Wind is located at the East end of Cabarete and is easily recognizable by the blue roof with a surfer on top!

They have a vast range of stock from the latest fashion to specific hardware. If you’re on a budget, this is not your store, but with a regular supply of fresh goodies, you’ll definitely find that special something for men, women, and the kiddlywinks, too.

Fun Trips Surf Shop, also known as the Ripcurl store, is located at the start of Cabarete opposite Villa Taina Hotel.

They will also keep you sun safe with their Spy Optic Sunglasses and Sun Bum sun protection! Vela Shop

Connected to Vela, the windsurf centre of Cabarete, the Vela Shop is full of goodies. Located next to Voy Voy, it can be accessed easiest from the beach side. Being connected to a windsurf centre, the Vela Shop stocks JP Boards, sails and all the spare parts you could possibly need! Not only that, they also stock the latest Cabrinha kiting equipment and water wear, harnesses and spare parts from Dakine and NP Surf.

Situated in the small street linking the road to the beach in the center of town (same street as Fun Trips mentioned above), the Star Kites Store is owned by Dominican local Adrian Perez (the shop’s biggest asset), who is full of knowledge and always on standby to help you.

The shop stocks the latest Star kites, bars, boards, bindings, harnesses and spare parts for all of the Star kites. They also have a variety of Mystic harnesses, impact vests, leashes and board bags. Kite Club Cabarete is mainly known as a kitesurf school, but also doubles up as a great little shop!

Located at the top of Kite Beach, Kite Club stocks an array of goodies including Aloe Gator and Headhunter sun protection, Coconut Oil, Electric Sunglasses, towels, rashguards and clothing for men, women and children. For the beach babes, Kite Club stocks the latest collection of bikinis from Bikini Empire and Saltwater Swimwear and Ripcurl boardies for you boys!

A big hint from the name, Kite Club also stocks kites and boards from Liquid Force and Best, but also have a hearty supply of spare parts, such as lines, fins, repair patches and they also have an in-house kite repair team!
