Franzi Fix showing off Cabarete’s ideal windsurfing conditions
Cabarete windsurfing has been a thing since the 80s. Thirty years later and Cabarete has evolved into wind and wave lovers paradise that beckons action lovers of all disciplines (surf, SUP, kiteboarding, windsurfing, Laser). That being said, it’s always good to pay homage to those who paved the way. Although Franzi Fix is still a youngin’ at only 17 years old, this short video proves he has the moves of a seasoned pro. That’s probably because he has been windsurfing since he was 9! In a day when most kids are onto the next new thing, Franzi does a beautiful job of making the windsport grandaddies proud. Word on the street is his attitude is just as respected as his skills.
Filmed by Alza Productions at Playa Encuentro, their team of 3, Charly Chretien, Maxi Fabbiani, and a remote-controlled quadcopter, are a fairly new business here in Cabarete.
