In December of 2013, Antonello and Christina (a husband and wife team) took over the long-time popular beachfront restaurant location in the Carib Wind Plaza and named it Eze Bar Cabarete. What once was only a day time eatery has been transformed into Cabarete’s most stylish place to grab a bite, toast a drink, and socialize with Cabarete’s finest – day or night. The first thing you will notice is the decor, which showcases Christina’s and Antenello’s love of design. Everything from plates to the cushions have been handpicked and put in their place by the pair. Just as impressive is the art on the walls, some of which was handcrafted by Christina, a part-time artist. She shares the canvas of walls with another amazing local artist, Verona Penalba.
When the food comes to the table, your eyes will fall in love with a plate dressed to kill. Backing up all of that style with an impressive palette is their chef Francesco Scarpati who hails from Napoli, Italy. With somewhere around 25 years in the industry, he tends to take his food very seriously. The evidence will be clear after taking your first bite — and all the way down to the last.
And if you think you recognize the name Antonello Cannistra, there is good reason. Having grown up in restaurants he is the glue that holds Eze together. Originally from Sicily, he is the original Eze Bar chef, but is very well known for having owned several other elegant restaurants around Cabarete for the 15 years that he has been here. Namely: Toma la Luna, Marabu, Maraja. Today Eze Bar is his one and only, and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty to make sure it lives up to the hype. Don’t be surprised if you see him in the back fileting a fish or even running food to the tables when it gets busy.

There is no dress code and no one will scoff at you if you come barefoot and in your bikini, but when you feel like getting a little glamourous for a girls night out or a date with your sweetheart, Eze Bar should definitely be your first choice.
