The Best Time to Visit Cabarete, Dominican Republic

Cabarete is a picturesque Caribbean village located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Lovingly labeled the Adventure Sports Capital of the Caribbean, our little island town has long been a haven for surfers, windsurfers, kiteboarders, and divers. With an average temperature of 29°C, and wind and waves 300 days per year, it’s not hard to understand why people from all over the flock to Cabarete as winter creeps in back home. But before winter comes Fall, and even though Summer is technically over, the “Fall” is a glorious time to visit Cabarete. We can’t wait to tell you why Cabarete Palm Beach Condos is the perfect place for an #EndlessSummerCabarete vacation!

Watermen/Women of Every Discipline Are Stoked!

Fall in Cabarete is like Christmas for surfers because it marks the beginning of the upcoming winter swells. During this time, the Ocean offers a variety of sizable waves out on the reef for intermediate and advanced surfers, and smaller more manageable waves on the inside for those who are learning.

Not to mention, the afternoons still blow for kitesurfers and windsurfers. The brisa (wind) is a little more tranquilo (relaxed) than the usual 25-30 knots we get in the summer, so conditions are ideal for both learning and working on new tricks.

Also tranquilo is the tourist traffic. Kids go back to school, adults go back to work. Fewer people mean more ocean for you. Score!

Even if you aren’t into surfing or kiting, there is always snorkeling, free diving, and scuba diving in the crystal clear waters of Cabarete and our neighboring town, Sosua. Located just 10 minutes down the road, Sosua Beach has been named one of the Top 25 beaches in the Caribbean thanks to the calm waters, easily accessible living reefs, and bustling Dominican Culture.

Getting to Cabarete is Easy!

With direct flights coming into Puerto Plata from many international airports, getting to Cabarete is easy. Cabarete Palm Beach Condos is located just a 20-minute taxi ride east of Gregorio Luperón International Airport, so you’ll have your toes in the sand before you can say Presidente.

Coming to Cabarete is Inexpensive!

Flight prices drop substantially during the fall season, which is great news for your piggy bank! Look here what you can buy with $1 in Cabarete. To top it all off, each of our condos comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen. So go grocery shopping at any of our neighborhood supermarkets can save a few pesos by cooking at home with local ingredients.

Summer Never Has to End

It’s not just the temperature that gives you that summer feeling – it’s the laughs, killer tans, delicious tropical fruits, cocktails on the beach, and swaying palm trees. These sensations never come to an end in Cabarete. We happen to have sunshine, warm water, fresh fruit, and good vibes all year round!
