Fall in Cabarete is like Christmas for surfers because it marks the beginning of the upcoming winter swells. During this time, the Ocean offers a variety of sizable waves out on the reef for intermediate and advanced surfers, and smaller more manageable waves on the inside for those who are learning.
Not to mention, the afternoons still blow for kitesurfers and windsurfers. The brisa (wind) is a little more tranquilo (relaxed) than the usual 25-30 knots we get in the summer, so conditions are ideal for both learning and working on new tricks.
