Raining In Cabarete?
Don’t let it spoil your vacation, just go with it!
Cabarete, Dominican Republic is located in the heart of the Caribbean islands, and although we don’t know a thing about cold weather, we are familiar with rain. A few weeks out of the year, moody skies and the pitter-patter of the raindrops on our palm leaves mingle with the sunshine. Honestly, we don’t mind too much because the showers feed our tropical flowers and lusciously green surroundings. Not to mention, although it may be raining, it’s still warm! So, don’t let a little precipitation rain on your parade. Get out there and enjoy your vacation. Here are a few things you can do when it is raining in Cabarete.
Going outside without a raincoat or umbrella will ultimately result in being soaked through to the skin (because, honestly, who brings a raincoat and umbrella on vacation), so why not just go with it and jump in the ocean! During rain showers, there is often not a breath of wind, which happens to be ideal for surfing, bodyboarding, bodysurfing, SUP, and just plain splashing around…most of which you can do right on our doorstep! If you’re feeling adventurous, you can travel a little further into the mountains and immerse yourself in the invigorating waterfalls with some canyoning, white water rafting, or kayaking.
Rainy days are the perfect opportunity to spend a little time on you. Go ahead and treat yourself, you know you deserve it. Why not wind down with a trip to one of Cabarete’s spas that offer heavenly massages and gorgeous beauty treatments. If sitting still is not an option, there are other ways to pamper your mind, body, and soul, such as fitness classes. Rainy days are always a little cooler than usual making workouts such as spinning and various gym classes slightly more comfortable. Don’t forget the fresher weather combined with the rhythmic sound of raindrops, nurture a peaceful environment to clear your mind and get bendy with some Cabarete yoga. When all else fails, how about indulging in the mouth-watering flavors of the world! From the traditional dishes of the Dominican Republic to the legendary dishes of Italy, Cabarete is blessed with a vast range of restaurants offering a plate to please every palette.
When it’s a little gray outside, the first thing that springs to mind is MOVIE DAY! Since all of our condos come complete with cable ready ( extremely underused) televisions and free Wi-Fi to stream movies, you can snuggle up on the comfy couch to catch a new release or appreciate an old family favorite. To complete the home cinematic experience, you can call up your favorite moto concho or check out the Just Delivery phone app to easily order some takeout food.
